Celebrate movement in all forms at the very first Riverfront Dance Festival, produced by The Hartford Dance Collective. This performance provides a unique opportunity for distinguished dancers and choreographers, students, and community members, to present original works in a free public gathering with a strong emphasis on the inclusion of diverse dance styles. Grab your lawn chair to sit back and enjoy dazzling performances, visual arts vendors, and food trucks; or get up and groove with the interactive performances that surround Mortensen Riverfront Plaza, overlooking the Connecticut River.

Parking/Getting There: Plugging in “Mortensen Riverfront Plaza” into your GPS will typically get you to the correct place but you may want to give yourself extra time to find the space if you’ve never been there before. Mortensen Riverfront Plaza is served by CTfastrak (Route 121), CTtransit, and the free Dash shuttle. The park is 1.7 miles from Union Station (Metro North Train/Peter Pan Bus).
Driving from Points North or South: Take I-91 Capitol Area exit (Exit 29-A) onto the Whitehead Highway. Take Columbus Boulevard exit. At end of ramp, turn right onto Columbus Boulevard. Mortensen Riverfront Plaza is on right at the second set of traffic lights.
Driving from Points East: Take I-84 West to Downtown Hartford edit. At end of ramp, take a left onto Columbus Boulevard. Plaza is on left.
Driving from Points West: I-84 East to I-91 South. Follow directions from I-91 South.
Parking is available on surrounding streets and at area garages.
