Everyone is an artist. We encourage people of all backgrounds to be curious, passionate, and engaged in their creative livelihood. If you ever question if you belong here - the answer is yes. A perfect place for a dancer to train and keep in shape, a former dancer to reignite their love for movement, or a member of the community looking to practice dance movement as a form of exercise, art, or meditation. If you have never danced before, hate exercise, haven’t “worked out” in a while, are injured or recovering, do one move and watch for the rest of class… YOU ARE WELCOME HERE! As long as you are taking care of you, we are happy. Come as you are.
Anyone can dance, and everyone should!

CLASS FAQ:
What do I wear? Athletic clothes that you are comfortable moving in. There is no uniform! In any given class you will see some dancers in a full outfit, and some in comfy sweats. Come as you are.
What shoes do I need for each class? No specific shoes required! For ballet and modern, socks or bare feet are totally fine (ballet shoes welcome too!); for hip hop, rock your favorite sneakers; and for tap, bring your tap shoes if you have them, but sneakers work too. At the end of the day, it's all about whatever you're most comfortable moving in!
What heels do I wear for heels class? There is no exact requirement for heels - we recommend dancing in a lace up/bootie type heel for ankle stability and building strength. No platform heels.
I have never danced before, what is the best class to take? Anything labeled “Foundations” level is best for anyone new to dance!
If I have danced before as a child/teen, but it's been a while, what level would I be comfortable in? The foundations level is an awesome place to start if it's been a while, it is typically slow-paced to build back foundational skills if you want to start slow. The essentials level is probably most appropriate if you have foundational skills and terminology down but its been a while. You are always welcome to challenge yourself in the momentum level too!
Do the classes build on each other / do I need to sign up for multiple classes? Or can I just drop in? You will always feel more comfortable if you join a class and can build on the skills you learned from the previous week BUT that is not necessary. You are more than welcome to drop in as your availability allows.
Are classes women-only? Nope! While we proudly create opportunities for female-identifying leaders in dance, dance is for every body. All genders, all levels, all vibes. Come as you are.
